The eTrans Account is a great deal on an “electronic checking” account. With the eTranz Account you’ll get the best interest rate in town on a Checking Account. In fact, a better rate than you’d earn in most Savings Accounts.
Requirements to get the big dividends:

This is an electronic account and is restricted to 3 written checks per month.

Enroll in Online Banking and get Electronic Statements.

Make at least 10 transactions/month with your Debit card.

Qualify and receive our VISA Premier Credit Card and make at least 3 transactions during the VISA Cycle (the 27th of the month to the 26th of the following month).

You must make at least 1 direct deposit of $500 or more per month. (e.g. payroll deposit, social security deposit).
These days more and more members are using their checking accounts as an electronic clearing account and are writing fewer and fewer checks. The Credit Union receives an interchange fee on transactions when you use your VISA Debit and Credit Cards, allowing us to pay a higher dividend. You’re using these types of cards anyway, why not get rewarded with our eTrans Account that earns 1.30% APY.
What happens if you don’t meet the requirements?
There is no risk. Even if you fail to meet all the requirments, you’ll still get the following benefits:

You’ll still earn .13% APY. (This is still more than many financial institutions are paying on a Savings Account).
